This is as we celebrate The New Year in Ecuador.

ORIGIN

The all countries of latin america having  the same custom  that Spain old  rituals as the Saturnalia of the Romans or Celtic rituals

In some Countries as : Peru, Mexico their having custom and rituals of  purifiers, dance and costumes That have joined the current ritual syncretism itself as part of a mixed culture.

CUSTUM AND ACTIVITIES 

In the Ecuador the people the december 31 of each year makes  a doll which represents a purification ritual between of parties and parades.

The dolls are made for parades and contests represent local political figures, celebrities,

sports and celebrities in general, the jury takes into account the representation of the doll mood to reward the best work.

The doll is elaborate basically of newspaper or scrap wood and old clothes with mask that represent a person famous or common person also there are dolls elaborate with paper , rubber and an paints of different color that represents specially famous people and animated characters.

The people before the burning of the doll, reading a "testament", which, with ironic or satirical language sucesose after counting of the year and deseso are given for the new year is done.

Most families put years old at the doors of the houses to be exhibited to the public, some puppets are seen sitting under a small hut, the años viejor or dooll  , together or alone, in the table they are can see living people playing a traditional game of 40 and with beers aside

BELIEVE

In Ecuador the people believe that should for new year eat and make things as : eating lentils , wear yellow underwear inside out and put money in a shoes or eat twelve grapes one by one and make a wish.
